Dudes and dudettes! Command+D welcomes you back to the present from a few possible disturbing futures. This week we're going to look ahead again into a kinder, gentler, more enlightened future. And no, before you get the wrong idea, Command+D is not going to fill this week's post with cute puppies and Barack Obama.
No friends, this week we're going to a place that all humanity can be proud of, a place that has managed to overcome the difficulties we face today and has emerged as a future of justice and of reason and of plenty. (Insert joke about Norway or other socialist Scandinavian country here). Perhaps some of these places might seem unexpected, but they would all be better than where we are today, IMOO (in my overbearing opinion).
Welcome to the Hopeful Future...
1. Let's just get one thing straight, interconnected thoughts are awesome. One day you all might have an inkling what it's like to be Command+D (20 minutes long, do NOT skip it!).
2. No one gets thrown away in the future. Maybe future people heed some good advice.
3. All our institutions of religion will decay.
4. All colors will peacefully coexist.
5. We all live in crystal palaces in the future.
6. No more rats nests.
7. Venice will be even farther underwater, but it's residents won't care.
8. Good news if you're into tall women (Tim).
9. Remember the Prime Directive and "boldly go where no man has gone before." Godspeed.
10. Now write your future self a note.
In the words of Ghandi or Yogi Berra or somebody famous and good, "make your dreams into the reality that Command+D has prophesized." Now hop to it!

Come on, Eldrick.

Thanks, D. I was going to blow my brains out, but having you in my life makes it worth living. I sent myself an email to arrive on my 30th birthday to remind myself that this was the day that Command+D saved my life.

Dear Mr "Stiff",
I agree with your sentiments. Not all Stevesword readers are "freelancers" who get to post
"soft core porn images" during workaday hours...or what used to be workaday hours, before we were "let go".
Sincerely ,
Laid Off in Los Angeles
PS: I find you alarming and terrifying to say the very least but I loved you in Velvet Goldmine.
