While not writing for Steve's Word, Matthew fills his time with being an accomplished playwright. His plays have been performed all over this country and one of them was put on at the Public Theater a few summers ago. He also enjoys the occasional Ambien, even though it causes him to have screaming matches with himself in the middle of the night.
